Fremantle

Fremantle (or "Freo" as the locals call it) is the Port for Perth and has a rich historical Australian Convict Heritage. It is situated at the mouth of the Swan River about 14 Kms (9 miles) from Perth City.

Rottnest Island

About 18 Kms (11 miles) from the coast and Fremantle, Rottnest Island is the home of the Quokka (a rare endemic marsupial) and an unspoiled holiday destination. Margaret River

Margaret River itself is not a large body of water, but the area around it has become a major player in the production of fine wines. The wild coastline between Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin offers wonderful walking and nature trails.
