Cradle Mountain National Park Visitors Centre: The Visitors Centre is excellent and is the best place to start your Cradle Moutain experience. You will park your car, pay the Park Fee and board the shuttle bus for the 6 km ride to Dove Lake and Waldheim Chalet.

Walks at Cradle Mountain: Walks range from the easy King Billy Track and the Waterfalls Walk near Cradle Mountain Lodge to the Wombat Pool walk near Dove Lake to the more difficult ascent of Cradle Mountain itself. Always take good rain and weather gear when walking. This is a very exposed area and the weather can change very quickly.

Dove Lake and Waldheim Chalet: Dove Lake is at the foot of Cradle Mountain and at the end of the road. Depending on the weather, the walks are spectacular. Waldheim Chalet is near Dove Lake.
