Adelaide City – Adelaide Tours
Adelaide, with a population of almost one and a half million, is the centre of Government for South Australia. It is architecturally a very interesting city, with many of the original buildings intact and renovated. Adelaide was not settled as part of Australia’s Convict System, as were Hobart, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney, but rather by free settlers from Europe attracted to the promise of freedom from religious persecution.
A day tour of the area will show you the city centre, the pretty and fashionable inner suburbs, the beach precinct around Glenelg, the Adelaide Hills and Hahndorf. For overnight experiences, check out the multi-day tours and activities.
