The Rocks Historic District.
The Historic Rocks District is where the first settlement of Sydney began in 1789 and is a maze of interesting old buildings that have been wonderfully preserved. This is the heart of historic Sydney and is well worth exploring on foot. We always make sure your accommodation is within easy walking distance of The Rocks.

Your confirmed itinerary will have full details for self guided walks around this fascinating historical precinct.

Dinner at a Waterfront Restaurant.

There are a number of excellent restaurants in the area and we will give you information in your confirmed itinerary.

Accommodation is included at one of the best located hotels in the Historic Rocks area of Sydney. Circular Quay, the Opera House and Darling Harbor are all just a short walk from the Hotel and we feel this to be one of the better experiences in well-located accommodation we have found.

Day 2: Sydney Sample Deluxe Itinerary
Ferry to Manly, Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, Dinner at Cafe Sydney.

Sydney Harbour Ferry Cruises.
Much of the beauty and history of Sydney’s spectacular harbour can be seen from public ferry cruises that leave from Circular Quay. We will give you complete instructions on how to ride the ferries like one of the locals in your confirmed itinerary.

The trip to Manly on the regular scheduled harbour ferries is a great way to combine a trip on the Sydney Harbour with a visit to one of Sydney’s famous surf beaches. Our confirmed itinerary will have full detail as to how to take this extremely pleasant morning or afternoon trip, one that gets you onto the sort of transport that the locals use and takes you somewhat off the beaten tourist track.

Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge was built in 1932, although it was 70 years before it was opened for climbing. This well organized climb starts on the southeast pylon of the Bridge, and then climbs across the arch to the summit, some 130 meters (400 feet) above the Sydney Harbour.  On reaching the top of the Bridge, you have at your feet (literally) a spectacular 360 degree view of the Harbour and the City.  You can certainly catch an elevator to the top of a building to get a view…but to experience climbing to the top of the Bridge is something different!

Sydney Bridge Climb BridgeClimb Sydney

The Bridge Climb is a small group adventure.  You will be escorted by trained climb leaders in a group and will be provided with a “bridge suit,” communication equipment and harness.  You will be securely connected to the bridge by a steel cable through the climb. There are also handrails for support on most sections on the climb.  There will be a comprehensive briefing and demonstration of safety equipment prior to commencement of the climb.

Deluxe Beach Itinerary Australia

Bookings are essential to join the climb and it will operate in all weather conditions with the exception of electrical storms. Note:-  If someone in your party does not want to take part in the climb, we can offer optional walks over the roadway span of the Bridge.

Cafe Sydney Restaurant.
Situated on the roof of the Old Customs House at Circular Quay, this rooftop restaurant offers spectacular views of the Bridge and the Quay.  The food and service are excellent, with a price tag to match.  The wine list is extensive. We found this to be a wonderful restaurant experience, particularly on a fine evening. Your confirmed itinerary will have contact details and information on hours, how to make a reservation and contact details, along with our recommendations for specific tables.
